Usage

Live currency converter powered by the open-source Frankfurter v2 API — no API key, CORS-friendly.

v2 blends data from 55 central banks and supports 200+ currencies. The current UI lists 31 of the most commonly used ones (USD / CNY / EUR / JPY / HKD / GBP…). Amount inputs sync both ways; the middle button swaps the two currencies instantly.

Every successful fetch caches the rate map to localStorage. When the network or API is unavailable, the cache kicks in and the UI clearly flags it as stale. Click the History tab at the top to switch to the trend chart — the from / to selection is preserved.

Different providers update on different schedules (some weekdays only, some include weekends). The toolbar shows the actual data date.

FAQ

Are the rates real-time?

Frankfurter v2 blends data from 55 central banks; each updates on its own schedule. Strictly speaking this is the last published reference rate, not tick-by-tick live. The toolbar shows the actual data date.

Why does my bank's rate differ?

API rates are mid-market central-bank references. Banks and payment platforms apply a spread (typically 1–3%) for buy / sell. Use this tool for estimates, not trade confirmations.

Does it work offline?

Yes. The last successful fetch is cached locally and used automatically when the network or API fails, with a clear stale-cache notice so you know it's not live.

Which currencies are supported? Bitcoin?

Frankfurter v2 supports 200+ fiat currencies; the UI lists 31 of the most common (USD / CNY / EUR / JPY / GBP / HKD and other majors). No crypto, no offshore CNH, no precious metals.

How do I see history?

Click the History tab at the top — from / to selection is preserved. Charts cover 7d / 30d / 90d / 1y.
